VERIFICATION OF FINAL PHASE 1ST YEAR ADMISSION
It is hereby notified to all concerned that valid candidates who were deposited required fees in the final phase B.A./B.Sc. (Hons. & General) 1st yr. admission (Session 2016-17) of Morning Section, their verification dates will be 22nd and 23rd August, 2016 in the Morning section office between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.View ..
The list of valid candidates for the admission of few Honous and B.A / B.Sc General Seats will be published on 10.08.2016.
The valid candidate will deposit their required money through on line within 12.08.2016.
This is for the information of all concerned that the admission for the eligible students, who could not take admission in due date will take place very soon. The courses for which still vacancies are there but the applicants list is exhausted -from registered students applications will be asked and eligible candidates will be admitted , having maintained the University prescribed intake capacity. However, after the said events if it is found that till seats are remaining vacant-new registration process may be started having allowed a very short time interval for each process. This is to be noted that in all cases existing norms will be followed.

The college, founded in 1950, was initially affiliated to the University of The college, founded in 1950, was initially affiliated to the University of Calcutta. In 1957 it was granted degree courses in Science and Humanities, and in 1960 was affiliated afresh to the University of Burdwan. The institution has since grown all the way into a centre of excellence in terms of its academic performance and achievements. In March 2007 the college was evaluated by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in all its academic and allied aspects and was declared as accredited at the B++ level (scoring 84%).
The academic courses are run here in two sections (Morning and Day) on a co-educational basis. There are thirteen (13) Honours subjects (viz. Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Philosophy, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Nutrition) along with fifteen (15) general courses including Statistics and Geography for the students of the college. The college has got three (3) hostels for boys with food and lodging facility. One U. G. C. girls’ hostel located inside the college campus is near completion.
